Senior Systems Analyst - Workday Extend and Integrations Development
About The Position
The Institutional Solutions Group at NYU IT is building the next generation of internal applications to power our global workforce. We are seeking a Senior Systems Analyst with deep technical expertise to help evolve and scale our Workday HCM and Payroll ecosystems within a dynamic higher education environment. In this hands-on development role, you will design, build, and deploy custom Workday Extend applications and complex integrations tailored to our institutional needs. Acting as a bridge between technical and functional teams, you will independently gather business requirements and collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet the highest technical standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Technology related fields (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, etc.)
- 3+ years Workday Extend Development
- 5+ years Workday Integrations Development
- Strong experience with Workday Extend, Workday Studio, EIB, CoreConnect, and Reporting.
- Solid experience with integration technologies (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, XSLT).
- Strong understanding of HR systems and business processes.
- Ability to work independently within defined scope and escalate appropriately when needed.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Master's Degree in Technology related fields (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, etc.)
- 3+ years in a Higher Education institution or a complex, global enterprise environment.
- Understanding of Agile software development principles.
- Understanding of business principles as related to the various functional areas in Higher Education environments.
- Familiarity with database technologies such as Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL, and MySQL.
- Thorough understanding of current tools and technologies to support Application Development, Application Administration and Application Support including ticketing/tracking software such as Jira and ServiceNow.
