About The Position

The Boeing Company’s Information Digital Technology and Security (IDT&S) organization Specialized Infrastructure Operations group is currently seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join the team in Herndon, VA. Requirements

• Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years or agreed to enter a Continuous Vetting program such that 5 year updates are no longer required
• Active Full Scope Polygraph
• 5+ years of experience as a systems administrator
• U.S. Citizenship Required
• This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Nice To Haves

• 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Active certifications in Cloud, INFOSEC, etc.
• Experience with Virtualization (AHV, VMWare ESXi, Hyper-V, etc.)
• Experience with VDI infrastructure, monitoring infrastructure, securing infrastructure, documenting in Confluence and task tracking in Jira

Responsibilities

• Oversees system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture
• Provides complex problem resolution, root cause analysis and technical support for delivery systems
• Participates in the design, validation and configuration management of computing delivery systems
• Plans and coordinates system changes
• Administers user system access and establishes safeguards to protect information to meet security requirements
• Oversees activities to monitor system performance to support capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery planning
• Mentors, leads and trains others
