About The Position

TechSur Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator specializing in Virtualization and Hyper-converged Infrastructure technologies such as Nutanix, VMware, and other enterprise IT systems. The role involves managing Windows Server and Nutanix AOS/AHV clusters, Citrix VDI environments, Linux systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS), network security, Active Directory, Exchange, network storage, backups, and threat/vulnerability monitoring. Responsibilities include interacting with network services, software systems engineering, and application development teams to resolve issues and identify root causes. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in virtual enterprise solutions, basic networking, enterprise security, hypervisor technologies, Microsoft domain services, and familiarity with automation/scripting tools and collaboration platforms like SharePoint and Teams.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Virtualization and hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) technologies – Nutanix AHV, VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix VDI (XenApp, FlexApps).
• Experience with networking.
• Experience administering backups.
• Experience with distributed storage systems – Cohesity, SAN environment.
• Ability to handle cluster upgrades, security hardening, Firewalls, threat monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience managing standing up and troubleshooting Windows Server Operating Systems in virtual and physical environments (i.e. VMware or Hypervisor).
• Automation – experience with scripting languages and tools PowerShell, and familiarity with Python or Ansible.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize VMware and/or Nutanix virtualization technologies.
• Implement data protection and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
• Provide support for Citrix VDI, snapshots, and replication.
• Administer backups and distributed storage systems (Cohesity, SAN environment).
• Handle cluster upgrades, security hardening, firewalls, threat monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Monitor network and systems performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Perform system patching and updates to ensure compliance and security.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and security policies.
• Capture, document, and maintain knowledge documents and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system functionality and security.
• Resolve hardware and application issues with clear communication.
• Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server Operating Systems in virtual and physical environments (e.g., VMware or Hypervisor).
