About The Position

A leading provider of IT Managed Services in Northern New Jersey is looking for a Systems Admin to provide service to its clients in the NYC metro area. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter with a proven track record to develop, implement, and support various initiatives in the area of Systems Administration. Because of the very wide breadth of systems that will be configured, supported and maintained, the ideal candidate must have a wide knowledge base including, end user support, small business networking, active directory and server technologies used by small business.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in Windows System Administration
At least 5 years of experience in Network Administration
At least 3 years of experience managing Office 365
At least 2 years of experience managing Azure
Experience with virtual technologies such as VMware ESX, or Hyper-V
Strong understanding of base concepts and protocols such as TCP, NAT, ARP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, VLAN, VPN
Strong interpersonal and communications skills

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and support various initiatives in the area of Systems Administration.
Configure, support, and maintain a wide breadth of systems.
Provide end-user support.
Manage small business networking.
Manage Active Directory.
Manage server technologies used by small business.
Perform end-to-end troubleshooting of issues, where the problem may lie in the storage, server, network or anywhere in between.
Solve problems quickly and automate processes.
Quickly find solutions to unfamiliar problems (research skills).
Follow change controls and security procedures.
Research and learn new concepts and apply them to future projects.
Configure and manage switches and firewalls.
