About The Position

This role contributes to the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions. The Senior System Engineer will design and develop tools for Azure migrations and transformation, and migrate existing platforms and applications to Azure using native patterns. This position will automate cloud-based infrastructure deployments and maintenance, leveraging modern DevOps and GitOps practices. The engineer will build, manage, and maintain robust tools for deployment, monitoring, backup, and operations, incorporating leading open-source and commercial technologies. A key focus will be on infrastructure scalability, security, availability, and proactive performance tuning. The role involves identifying and addressing infrastructure deficiencies, availability gaps, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities, including hands-on remediation using Astra. The Senior System Engineer will serve as an escalation point for Tier 2 and Tier 3 cloud infrastructure support and assist with the technical feasibility analysis of business requirements. The position requires designing and developing solutions for Azure migrations, transformation tools, and automating cloud-based infrastructure deployments and maintenance. The engineer will build and optimize CI/CD pipelines and manage Kubernetes clusters. Additionally, the role involves developing and maintaining AI-driven workflows and leveraging real-time and synthetic monitoring solutions. Advanced cloud security practices including RBAC, group policy configuration, authorization, and auditing will be applied.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
  • Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience in a related occupation designing and developing solutions for Azure migrations, transformation tools, and automating cloud-based infrastructure deployments and maintenance.
  • Three (3) years of experience building, managing, and maintaining deployment, monitoring, and operations tools for high-traffic, production Azure environments, including Azure DevOps, VMSS, Vnet, Azure Load Balancer, Azure Application Gateway, Azure Private Link, Cosmos DB, Azure Monitor/Application Insights, AKS, Azure Cache, Event Hub, and Azure Functions.
  • Three (3) years of experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud automation and orchestration solutions using CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Three (3) years of experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, and advanced GitHub Actions.
  • Three (3) years of experience using and managing cloud-agnostic technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, MuleSoft, Redis, NGINX, Kafka, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Three (3) years of experience managing Kubernetes clusters, including application deployment and lifecycle management with ArgoCD, backup and disaster recovery management with Velero, and Helm-based application packaging and deployment.
  • Three (3) years of experience developing and maintaining custom Helm charts for various applications.
  • Three (3) years of experience developing, optimizing, and maintaining AI-driven workflows, integrating MCP for advanced orchestration and leveraging AI frameworks.
  • Three (3) years of experience leveraging real-time and synthetic monitoring solutions (Dynatrace, EFK/ELK/Splunk, Prometheus, Catchpoint) and program solutions using Python and Linux Shell scripting.
  • Three (3) years of experience applying advanced cloud security practices including RBAC, group policy configuration, authorization, and auditing.

Responsibilities
