Principal System Engineering
About The Position
This role involves defining designs and providing technical enablement of application components and subsystems. The Principal System Engineer will translate business requirements into technical solutions, utilizing functional, performance, and reliability analysis. They will perform software development across the entire stack, elaborate on component designs and interfaces, and validate technology assumptions. This position also includes creating and enabling the continuous delivery pipeline, developing architectural runway, and participating in project planning and system demos. A key aspect is understanding and assisting with the architectural integration of external components, systems, and platforms.
Requirements
- Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or Applied Computer Science
- 3 Years of experience in the job offered or 3 Years of experience in a related occupation utilizing functional, performance, and reliability analysis and engineering models and techniques
- Performing software development throughout the vertical stack
- Validating technology assumptions and evaluate implementation alternatives
- Developing, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of enablers
- Understanding and assisting with the architectural integration of external components, systems, and platforms
Responsibilities
- Define designs and provide technical enablement of application components and subsystems for applications.
- Translate the core architecture of business requirements into final technical solutions consisting of platform, network, software, and cloud.
- Utilize functional, performance, and reliability analysis and engineering models and techniques.
- Perform software development throughout the vertical stack.
- Elaborate on the design and interfaces of specific components including defining subsystems and their interfaces, allocating responsibilities to subsystems, understanding solution deployment, and communicating requirements for interactions with solution context.
- Validate technology assumptions and evaluate implementation alternatives.
- Establish critical NFRs at the solution level and participate in the definition of others.
- Create and enable the continuous delivery pipeline including participating in the planning, definition, and high-level design of system solutions.
- Develop architectural runway in support of new business features and capabilities.
- Develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of enablers.
- Participate in project planning, system and solution demos, retrospective workshops.
- Understand and assist with the architectural integration of external components, systems, and platforms.
