About The Position

The Senior Surgical Technologist provides advanced technical assistance to the surgical team before, during, and following surgery. Under the supervision of surgeons and registered nurses, the role provides expert assistance in surgical operations to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures. The technologist helps ensure the operating room is safe, equipment functions properly, and procedures are conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.

Requirements

• Five years of related experience in surgical technology.
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program.
• High school graduate or GED.
• Must have and maintain certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical assistance to the surgical team before, during, and following surgery.
• Assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons and registered nurses.
• Help ensure the operating room environment is safe.
• Ensure equipment functions properly.
• Help ensure invasive surgical procedures are conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
