About The Position

Griswold Home Care is hiring a caregiver to provide non-medical care and companionship to seniors in clients’ homes within Southeast Houston and its surrounding service territory. Applicants must live within that service area because caregivers travel directly to clients’ homes. The role offers flexible hours, with opportunities for day and night shifts; client care needs range from four hours to 24-hour care. Caregivers help seniors live as fully and independently as possible while maintaining their dignity. Duties include homemaking and personal care, such as laundry, grocery shopping, meal preparation, bathing, and feeding. Caregivers may provide companionship to clients with dementia or cognitive impairments, complete shift documentation, and communicate with the office about clients’ conditions and needs.

Requirements

Live within Southeast Houston or the surrounding Southeast Houston service territory.
Have reliable transportation.
Have a driver’s license.
Have auto insurance.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Have at least one year of industry experience.

Nice To Haves

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Two or more years of home care experience is a plus; caring for a loved one counts.

Responsibilities

Provide non-medical care and companionship to seniors in their homes.
Help clients with laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
Assist clients with personal hygiene and daily tasks, including bathing and feeding.
Provide companionship to clients with dementia or cognitive impairments.
Complete documentation for each shift and submit timely updates.
