About The Position

The Caregiver provides non-medical elderly care and companionship to help seniors live as fully and independently as possible in their homes. Care may be provided during day or night shifts, with client schedules ranging from as little as four hours to 24-hour care. The role includes assisting with household and daily-living tasks while maintaining clients’ dignity, offering patient and professional support, and helping clients with dementia or cognitive impairments when needed. Caregivers complete documentation for each shift and communicate regularly with the office about clients’ conditions and needs. Applicants must live within Southeast Houston or the surrounding Southeast Houston service territory because caregivers travel directly to clients’ homes. Compensation is $13–$15. Requirements

Live within Southeast Houston or the surrounding Southeast Houston service territory.
Have reliable transportation.
Have a driver’s license.
Have auto insurance.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Have at least one year of industry experience.

Nice To Haves

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Two or more years of home care experience is a plus; caring for a loved one counts.

Responsibilities

Provide non-medical elderly care and companionship in clients’ homes.

Assist with laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
Assist clients with personal hygiene and daily tasks such as bathing and feeding.
Provide companionship and patient support to clients with dementia or cognitive impairments.
