About The Position

Griswold Home Care is hiring caregivers who live within Southeast Houston or its surrounding Southeast Houston service territory, as caregivers travel directly to clients’ homes. Caregivers provide non-medical personal care, homemaking, and companionship to seniors so they can remain as independent as possible in their homes. Client care needs range from four hours to 24-hour care. The role offers flexible hours and opportunities to work day or night shifts. Compensation is $13–$15 per hour.

Requirements

Must live within Southeast Houston or the surrounding Southeast Houston service territory.
At least 18 years of age.
At least one year of industry experience.
Reliable transportation.
Valid driver’s license.
Auto insurance.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Two or more years of home care experience is a plus; caring for a loved one counts.

Responsibilities

Provide non-medical care and companionship to seniors.
Assist with homemaking tasks such as laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
Help clients maintain personal hygiene and assist with daily tasks such as bathing and feeding.
Provide companionship to clients with dementia or cognitive impairments.
Complete documentation for each shift and submit timely updates.
Communicate routinely with the office about clients’ condition and needs.
