About The Position

The Senior Surgical Technologist provides advanced-level technical assistance to the surgical team before, during, and after surgery. Under the supervision of surgeons and registered nurses, the technologist expertly assists with surgical operations to support the safe and effective conduct of invasive procedures. The role helps ensure that the operating room is safe, equipment functions properly, and procedures are conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.

Requirements

• Five years of related experience in the field of surgical technology.
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program.
• High school graduate or GED.
• Must have and maintain certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical assistance to the surgical team before, during, and following surgery.
• Assist surgeons and registered nurses in surgical operations.
• Help ensure the operating room environment is safe and equipment functions properly.
• Support the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures and conditions that maximize patient safety.
