About The Position
Michels Construction, Inc. is seeking a Senior Superintendent, Heavy Civil to support field operations. This role involves coordinating schedules and resources, communicating scope to Foremen, and ensuring safety processes are completed. The company works on a variety of heavy civil projects including wharfs and ports, dams, water resiliency, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, bridges, and railways across North America. Requirements
- 10+ years of related experience and/or training in construction industry.
- Experience with Heavy Civil project is required.
- Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team.
- Ability to travel and commit to long term onsite projects.
Responsibilities
- Support field operations by coordinating schedules and resources.
- Communicate scope to Foremen.
- Ensure safety processes like JSAs and inspections are completed.
- Attend client meetings.
- Manage materials and tooling needs.
- Verify daily QA/QC and as-built documentation.
- Review time and field reports.
- Work closely with the Project Manager.
- Help develop Foremen and trade staff.
- Contribute to efficient, safe, and consistent project execution.
