About The Position

Michels Construction, Inc. is seeking a Senior Superintendent, Heavy Civil to join their team. This role supports field operations by coordinating schedules and resources, communicating scope to Foremen, and ensuring safety processes like JSAs and inspections are completed. The company works on a variety of heavy civil projects including wharfs and ports, dams, water resiliency, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, bridges, and railways across North America. Requirements

• 10+ years of related experience and/or training in the construction industry.
• Experience with Heavy Civil projects is required.
• Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team.
• Ability to travel and commit to long-term onsite projects.

Responsibilities

• Supports field operations by coordinating schedules and resources.
• Communicates scope to Foremen.
• Ensures safety processes like JSAs and inspections are completed.
• Attends client meetings.
• Manages materials and tooling needs.
• Verifies daily QA/QC and as-built documentation.
• Reviews time and field reports.
• Works closely with the Project Manager.
• Helps develop Foremen and trade staff.
• Contributes to efficient, safe, and consistent project execution.
