The Senior Stakeholder Engagement Manager leads strategic outreach for large transmission projects, developing and implementing engagement plans and communications tactics to support successful project execution. The role collaborates with project teams throughout the siting of new transmission lines and substations and the development and completion of transmission capital projects. The manager serves as a community advocate, facilitating positive interactions with project neighbors, local governments, and others affected by projects while building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The position develops strategies to engage stakeholders, address potential opposition, identify solutions to issues, and support project goals. It also coordinates external communications with internal groups and leads strategy and preparation for public hearings. Work is hybrid after onboarding, with work from remote and onsite locations; employees must live within 50 miles of their designated Duke Energy facility and are expected to report there as directed, averaging three full workdays per regular workweek. The role involves travel to construction sites, after-hours events, and on-call availability.
