About The Position

This role is responsible for leading monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. The Senior Staff Accountant will also prepare and review internal financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses for leadership. A key aspect of the role is ensuring accurate and organized financial records in accordance with GAAP and company policies. The position involves performing account analysis, investigating discrepancies, and implementing solutions to maintain data integrity across accounting and reporting systems. Additionally, the role includes managing documentation for annual financial reviews or audits conducted by external accounting firms, collaborating with FP&A and other departments to support cross-functional reporting, providing insights, and improving decision-making. The Senior Staff Accountant will also lead or participate in special projects, such as process improvements, automation initiatives, and reporting enhancements, and mentor junior accountants, providing guidance on accounting best practices and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4–7 years of accounting or financial reporting experience (public accounting or SaaS industry experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, with solid exposure to revenue recognition (ASC 606), internal controls, and audit processes.
  • Demonstrated experience leading month-end close and preparing financial statements independently.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, reporting tools).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and close management/reconciliation tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence business partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
