About The Position

Caldwell Energy is looking for an Accounting Analyst / Staff Accountant to join their growing team in Shelbyville, Kentucky. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical side of accounting and the business side of operations. The position involves working closely with leadership and playing a key role in monthly financial reporting, payroll, reconciliations, billing support, collections, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities
• Professional communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Nice To Haves

• CPA is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze account reconciliations as part of the month-end close process
• Process weekly payroll
• Prepare journal entries and support monthly financial statement reporting
• Review monthly billings and pay applications
• Assist with accounts receivable and collections activities
• Prepare sales and use tax accruals and filings
• Ensure subcontractor invoices are processed accurately and on time
• Prepare daily financial and operational reports
• Support process improvement initiatives and special projects
• Collaborate with operations and leadership teams across the business
