About The Position

Chameleon Integrated Services is seeking a Senior SQL DBA to provide operational support for federal IT infrastructure. This is an onsite role in Washington, DC, supporting a federal law enforcement agency. The position manages and supports SQL Server databases to ensure reliability, performance, and security. It includes database installation, configuration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and coordination with project teams to meet database requirements. Requirements

Bachelor's degree.
At least 7 years of database administration experience, including at least 5 years with SQL Server in enterprise production environments.
Hands-on ownership of backup and restore, not only monitoring.
Resume should clearly state current or recent DBA work on USCP systems for the current contractor.
SQL Server administration in a federal or law enforcement environment with security controls and audits.
High availability experience with Always On availability groups and failover clustering, and tested disaster recovery restores.
Experience with Azure SQL Managed Instance or Azure SQL Database; the Azure position in this contract uses Managed Instance.
Query and index tuning with before-and-after numbers.
PowerShell automation of DBA tasks.
