DBA Engineer (SQL Server)
About The Position
Optiveum is recruiting and contracting for a DBA Engineer to join a project for a leading global investment bank, delivered with an international IT services company. The role administers and supports Microsoft SQL Server environments running on Windows Server, automates routine database administration tasks with PowerShell, and supports business-critical banking systems. The position is full-time and hybrid, with three days per week at the client's Wrocław office; candidates must live in or near Wrocław. Participation in an on-call support rota and weekend work is required. Compensation is 115–160 PLN per hour on a B2B basis, depending on experience: 115–140 PLN/h for 5–8 years and 135–160 PLN/h for 8–10 years.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of relevant experience as a SQL Server DBA.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2016+.
- Windows Server administration experience.
- PowerShell scripting skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Readiness to participate in a support rota and work weekends.
- Fluent English.
- Polish or EU citizenship, or a permanent residence/work permit valid for at least 12 months.
Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and monitor Microsoft SQL Server 2016+ environments.
- Manage Windows Server hosts supporting the database platform.
- Automate routine DBA tasks using PowerShell scripting.
- Investigate and resolve database incidents and performance problems.
- Participate in the support rota, including on-call duties and weekend work.
