About The Position

Michigan Central is a 30-acre technology and cultural hub in Detroit where companies, startups, communities, and innovators collaborate on solutions to global challenges. Since opening in April 2023, it has grown into an ecosystem of approximately 2,000 employees from nearly 250 companies and startups working at the intersection of mobility and society. The Senior Specialist, Membership develops and refines Michigan Central’s comprehensive membership strategy, including its business model, operational efficiency, member programming, growth, and product development. The role works across teams such as operations, events, communications, and marketing to deliver a cohesive membership program. It reports monthly revenue targets and variances and documents the value members contribute beyond financial results. The position calls for a seasoned business lead who can direct a team and influence other teams to collaborate. The successful candidate balances member fit with revenue, strategy with execution, and existing program needs with operational excellence. A technology background is needed to understand member needs and make appropriate connections. The Membership team grows and manages the membership base, while the Network team builds innovation capabilities and grows the ecosystem through partnerships and products that increase retention, traffic, revenue, and regional impact.
