About The Position

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Sr Specialist to join our Controllers team. This role is located in Pittsburgh. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: Supports a portfolio of legal entities and related business activities by performing accounting, financial reporting, governance, and control responsibilities. Ensures the accurate and timely delivery of financial information for management reporting, board reporting, regulatory filings, external reporting and strategic decision making. Responsible for executing and analyzing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and the preparation and review of financial reporting packages. Supports internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and control testing activities by providing analysis, documentation and issue resolution. Analyzes financial results, identifies key business drivers, and provides meaningful insights to management regarding trends, risks, opportunities and emerging issues. Partners with Finance, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Regulatory Reporting, Risk, Technology, and other business teams to support legal entity governance, organizational changes, accounting initiatives, and strategic projects. Provide guidance and review support to less experienced team members as needed. Assists in the implementation of new accounting standards, reporting requirements and process improvements. Leverages automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled technologies to streamline accounting and reporting processes, increase analytical capabilities, and improve the reliability of financial information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
  • Accounting concentration preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and accounting and finance concepts and analysis techniques preferred.
