About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Senior Software Systems Engineer to support DRRS software design specification compliance. The role involves providing a web services-based system that exposes data through XML and uses a Department of Defense standards-compliant XML schema and interfaces for DRRS.

The engineer will assist with software development for defect corrections, enhancements, and new requirements. They will also examine NetUSR-MC in a production environment and recommend and implement user interface and user experience improvements to the application interface. This is a hybrid position requiring onsite support at locations in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree and nine or more years of experience, or four years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• Cloud and platform skills: AWS (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, SQS, SNS, S3, CloudFront, RDS, EC2), Azure (App Services, Functions, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Azure SQL, AI Search), and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Bicep).
• Backend and API skills: Java, Python, Go, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, C#, ASP.NET, and RESTful microservices.
• Frontend skills: React, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and NGINX.
• Database skills: PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, and Azure SQL.

Responsibilities

• Support DRRS Software Design Specification Compliance.
• Provide a web services-based system that exposes data via XML and employs a DoD standards-compliant XML schema and interfaces for DRRS.
• Assist with software development for defect corrections, enhancements, and new requirements.
• Examine NetUSR-MC in a production environment and recommend and implement UI/UX improvements to the application interface.
