About The Position

The Senior Software Engineer will join Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS-Core), within the Office of the CTO’s Customer Innovation Engineering team. The role is based in the United States and combines hands-on engineering with strategic customer engagement. The engineer will work on challenging customer projects using Azure, contribute to core Azure services, and help shape the platform’s evolution, including an observability-focused Azure service approaching general availability. This individual-contributor role spans design, development, and production operations. The engineer will work directly with customers and across core product engineering to improve how production workloads are designed, monitored, and operated at scale. The work includes architectural design, hands-on development, live production troubleshooting, and on-call participation as part of the service engineering team. Engineers use tools such as the Azure Portal and Visual Studio.
