About The Position

The Senior Software Engineer performs solution design and software architecture work, including distributed systems, scalability, design patterns, disaster recovery, technology stacks, MVPs, non-functional requirements, and telemetry. The role helps design solutions so processes and applications work together across product components, evaluates design trade-offs against business requirements, and helps translate high-level designs into detailed module designs using mock screens, pseudocode, and functional logic. The role performs requirements and scope analysis, including traceability, risk and cost analysis, business objectives, requirement classification, and user stories. It identifies gaps between customer or business expectations and existing solutions, anticipates risks during requirements gathering, informs stakeholders, and recommends corrective steps. It contributes user stories for components, applications, and complex work in Agile settings. The engineer reviews coding standards, languages, frameworks, tools, platforms, and quality, safety, and security standards; selects appropriate languages and development tools; and develops or configures code to meet business and technical requirements. The role builds automation scripts for CI/CD, testing, and other repetitive processes; independently implements telemetry features as required; and applies security policies during development and configuration. The position also plans and performs testing, including test preparation, objectives, strategy, test types, tools, and environments. It maps customer requirements to test objectives, creates and executes component-level test cases, uses appropriate testing tools, and conducts root-cause analysis to identify errors and defects. Required expertise includes administration, performance tuning, patching, migration, high availability, automation, and disaster recovery for SAP HANA.
