About The Position

The MANTA (Multi-domain Assured Navigation & Timing Applications) Software Department is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of real-time embedded software for industry-leading GPS Receivers and other Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) products for military ground, airborne, and maritime applications. This position provides the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of Assured PNT system and software architectures while collaborating with a dedicated team to develop innovative navigation solutions for the warfighter.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
  • Experience with C/C++ or other high-order programming languages in an embedded application environment.
  • Experience with hardware-centric product development and integration.
  • Proficiency in software development processes for real-time embedded systems.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in a technical, management, or leadership field.
  • Experience with GPS, digital signal processing, and/or wireless communication systems.
  • Experience using Python for test scripting.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Eclipse, Jira, and Jama.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience supporting field demonstrations and integration efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement real-time embedded software for GPS receivers and PNT products.
  • Perform requirements analysis, software design, coding, integration, verification, and documentation.
  • Integrate software onto target hardware and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Support field demonstrations, system integration efforts, and product deployment activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Apply Agile methodologies to software development processes for real-time embedded hardware/software applications.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members to foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
