The MANTA (Multi-domain Assured Navigation & Timing Applications) Software Department is seeking an Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) & Senior Software Manager to join our team. This dual-role opportunity combines program team leadership with functional management, empowering you to lead a talented team in developing cutting-edge real-time embedded software for GPS receivers and Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) products for military applications.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
  • Experience with software development processes for real-time embedded hardware/software applications, including Agile methodology.
  • Experience with C/C++ or other high-order programming languages in an embedded application environment.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and schedule management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the MAPS (Mounted Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing System) program team, overseeing all phases of the software engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, integration, verification, documentation, and formal configuration management.
  • Manage program execution, including Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Performance Integration Plan (PIPE) planning, resource allocation, and delivery of customer deliverables.
  • Oversee Earned Value Management (EVM) execution and identify program risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to assess and adjust technical performance and staffing needs.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and development for a team of 10+ software engineers, including coaching, mentoring, performance feedback, and career development.
  • Manage employee onboarding, training, and engagement check-ins to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Support the continuous improvement of existing products and processes, driving innovation and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with software development processes, including Agile methodologies, and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality navigation products for military applications.
  • Travel domestically as needed to support program and team objectives.
