Microsoft•Redmond, WA
•$119,800 - $261,000

About The Position

The Senior Software Engineer will join Microsoft 365’s Fleet Innovation team, which builds the platform that places infrastructure where and when Microsoft 365 workloads need it. The team is at the center of the capacity lifecycle, converting capacity demand into production-ready infrastructure for large cloud services. The role involves designing and building systems that move capacity from demand signals to live infrastructure. Its scope includes capacity and supply signal intake, Azure resource provisioning, infrastructure prerequisites, validation, allocation, deallocation, and live fleet operations. The engineer will own significant areas of the architecture, work across service and organizational boundaries, and use automation, data, and AI to make capacity delivery and fleet operations faster, safer, and more autonomous. Microsoft describes its mission as empowering every person and organization to achieve more. Its stated culture emphasizes a growth mindset, innovation, collaboration, respect, integrity, accountability, and inclusion.
