About The Position

The Apple Translation & Multilingual Intelligence team is building groundbreaking technology that enables connecting people across language barriers. We are looking for exceptional Software Engineers passionate about delighting customersʼ experiences and pushing the envelope on Machine Learning, Embedded, and Distributed Computing. You will be primarily responsible for developing our low-level frameworks and services that connect state-of-the-art Machine Learning models and inference engines to the variety of Translation experiences across all of our platforms! You will be working with many partner teams including Asset management, Phone/FaceTime and Messages. To succeed in this role, you are a strong programmer and a creative problem solver who enjoys learning new things. You are passionate about developing new features, maintaining existing code, fixing bugs, and contributing to overall system design. You are a great teammate who thrives in a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities. As a senior member of our team, you will be expected to be a leader of projects and people.

Requirements

• 5+ years development experience with Objective C and/or Swift
• Experience in object-oriented software design and programming
• Framework-level programming including multi-threaded architectures and cross-process communication
• Accomplished debugging and problem-solving skills
• Strong testing discipline
• Project Leadership
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of industrial working experience

Nice To Haves

• 10+ years development experience with Objective-C and/or Swift
• Experience with user features that integrate or adopt language modeling technologies
• Understanding of issues with delivering features for an international audience
• Experience with AI Tools to support coding, reviews and code analysis
