CCC Intelligent Solutions•Chicago, IL
•$180,000 - $225,000

About The Position

CCC Intelligent Solutions Inc. is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for a new, growing engineering group building AI-native products for its auto casualty business, the injury side of auto claims. The team is small and senior. The role involves owning meaningful product areas independently, taking work from problem definition through production, and building services, data pipelines, integrations, and interfaces used by claims experts. Products include AI tools for handling medical bills on injury claims, claims decision support, and an agentic rules platform and evaluation infrastructure for casualty products. The engineer will move between rapid prototypes that test ideas and durable production systems relied on by carriers. The work includes careful handling of sensitive health data, with responsibility for design documentation, code review, reliability, and security. The role collaborates closely with product managers, ML and AI engineers, and claims experts. Success includes shipping to production and working independently in the codebase within the first month, and owning a product area and taking a feature from idea to customers within six months. The salary range is $180,000–$225,000, and the position is bonus eligible. A video interview is required; interviews are transcribed and retained for review. Candidates may not use generative AI or automated assistance during interviews unless explicitly allowed for a specific exercise.
