At PathAI, we are constantly evaluating our tech stack and our current tools consist of: Python Vue.js Django + DRF Docker AWS: EKS, S3, RDS/PostgreSQL, SQS, MSK/Kafka The Opportunity We’re looking for a Fullstack Senior Software Engineer to join our team. You will help solve interesting problems with code and work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies to solve problems in sustainable ways. You will drive the architecture of our application platform, considering the team's needs and our future product roadmap goals. You will build new features for internal and external users, and refactor existing ones to make them better. You will work across the full lifecycle of development; you will take responsibility for the quality of the code produced by you and the team. You will collaborate with product, design, machine learning, and infrastructure teams. You will contribute to a SaaS platform used in clinical trial workflows, ensuring reliability, data integrity, and compliance with industry standards. You will collaborate with clinical, QA, and regulatory teams to ensure software changes meet validation expectations and support inspection readiness. You will drive and uphold high engineering standards, bringing consistency to the codebases you encounter and ensuring software is adequately reviewed, tested, and integrated. You will mentor, learn, and share knowledge with others along the way.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or closely related technical field.
  • 5+ years of full life cycle development experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to take on complex tasks, learn quickly and work in a proactive manner.
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in designing and building Python-based (FastAPI or Django) applications.
  • Experience with modern frontend JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, or equivalent for building responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
  • Demonstrated foundation in data structures, algorithms, and OO design.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a distributed team and to work autonomously on projects.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to attend client-facing meetings and explain technical concepts to non-experts.
  • Demonstrated cloud platform experience (AWS).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the healthtech industry
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, e.g. GitLab CI
  • Demonstrated knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of some IaC framework
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects efficiently.
