This role is for an experienced Controls Software Engineer passionate about safety-critical motion control to join the Motion Planning & Controls team. The engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing feedback, control, and actuation strategies, architecting and testing reliable, redundant, and safety-critical software for autonomous trucks, and characterizing vehicle platforms to develop models for precise motion planning, simulation, and controls. The role also involves working on fundamental problems in redundant actuation, degraded operation, and fail-safe control, and collaborating with other teams to deliver a robust vehicle control architecture, including creating requirement specifications, implementing features, planning testing, and documenting results.
