About The Position

Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join its software team. The position manages Java/Java EE application development and provides expertise throughout the software development lifecycle, from concept and design through testing. The developer will deploy and maintain functional, secure, high-quality applications. This is an on-site position at the company's Reston, Virginia office, with a stated pay range of $120,000–$145,000.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.
At least 7 years of development experience with Java technologies, including current Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, ORM, and JDBC.
Experience working as both a Lead Developer and a hands-on developer.
Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Experience in the telecom or cable industry.
Ability to perform well in a deadline-sensitive environment.
Demonstrated success with high-volume, low-latency, business-critical systems.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Self-motivation and readiness to contribute quickly.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present to large and small groups.
Experience solving difficult technology problems and performing code performance analysis.
Knowledge of other programming languages, including Go, NodeJS, and Python.
Experience developing and deploying web services (REST and SOAP), microservices, API gateways, and Docker services.
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational, NoSQL, and big-data database systems, such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, MongoDB, Cassandra, and Neo4j.
Experience with logging and monitoring frameworks such as ELK, Splunk, and Prometheus.
Experience with HTML5, CSS, and TypeScript/JavaScript frameworks.
Experience with code-quality and code-security tools such as SonarQube and Snyk or equivalent tools.
Hands-on experience with caching and queuing systems such as Redis, MQ, RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, or equivalent pub/sub systems.
Experience with cloud infrastructure and services, including AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and Lambda functions.
Experience with identity management and SSO systems, including Office 365, PingIdentity, SAML, OIDC, and OAuth systems.
Experience with source-control systems and CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab, and Jenkins.
Knowledge of generative AI and AI pair-programming for SDLC processes.
Understanding and hands-on experience with MCP, LLM, NLP, and related AI components.
Knowledge and experience in AI/ML development and solution design, machine-learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and LangChain, cloud AI services such as AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, and Google AI, and AI security frameworks.
Familiarity with task-management and documentation tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence, and SharePoint.

Nice To Haves

Agile/Scrum development methodology experience.
