About The Position

The Senior Software Developer designs, develops, tests, deploys, and maintains software applications and services while providing technical leadership within an assigned product, application, or functional domain. The role delivers complex software solutions, contributes to architecture and design decisions, mentors other developers, and upholds quality, security, and maintainability standards. The developer is expected to use AI-assisted and agentic software development tools to improve delivery speed and productivity while retaining full responsibility for technical decisions, code quality, testing, and production readiness. The role works with product owners, architects, quality engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle, and contributes to continuous improvement of engineering practices and processes.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Five or more years of professional software development experience.
Strong experience developing applications using C#, .NET, and React; advanced proficiency in these technologies and modern software development practices.
Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles, software design patterns, and software architecture.
Experience working in Agile software development environments.
Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery processes.
Demonstrated experience delivering production-quality software throughout the full software development lifecycle.
Professional experience using AI-assisted software development tools and ability to plan, execute, and validate AI-assisted tasks while maintaining ownership of technical outcomes.
Strong understanding of secure coding practices and experience designing and implementing automated testing strategies.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to evaluate technical alternatives and make sound engineering decisions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team.

Nice To Haves

Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
Experience with containerized applications and modern CI/CD platforms.
Experience with relational databases, SQL optimization, and performance tuning.
Experience with distributed systems, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.
Experience with AI-assisted development platforms such as Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and services.
Own the technical implementation of features and enhancements within an assigned application or functional domain.
Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, maintainable software solutions.
Participate in technical design discussions and document significant design decisions and implementation approaches.
Break complex initiatives into manageable work for developers and AI-assisted development tools.
Use AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development, analysis, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting.
Review and validate AI-generated code for correctness, maintainability, security, and compliance with engineering standards.
Apply independent engineering judgment when evaluating AI-generated recommendations and implementation alternatives.
Develop and execute testing strategies, including unit, integration, and regression testing.
Participate in peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Troubleshoot application defects, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and data access patterns.
Identify and address security vulnerabilities and secure coding concerns throughout the software development lifecycle.
Maintain technical documentation, coding standards, and project context that support consistent software development, including AI-assisted workflows where applicable.
Mentor junior and mid-level developers in technical knowledge, development best practices, and effective use of AI-assisted development tools.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, quality engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, development processes, and software quality.
