Requirements

  • Strong professional software development experience, including leading technical initiatives across teams and working effectively in Agile environments with CI/CD processes
  • Senior-level backend expertise in microservices, REST API design, asynchronous messaging, caching strategies, and relational and NoSQL database technologies
  • Solid full-stack capability, including a strong conceptual understanding of frontend engineering and working knowledge of TypeScript, Web Components, SPAs, HTML, CSS, and asynchronous JavaScript
  • Strong foundation in software engineering principles, including design patterns, distributed systems concepts, and the ability to contribute to sound architectural decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to use LLMs, agentic coding, and AI-assisted development tools effectively, with strong judgment, prompt/context management skills, and the ability to refine generated output into production-quality solutions
  • Fluency in English is required for this position in order to communicate with colleagues, customers and partners (or suppliers) who are mostly located outside Quebec. For positions in research and development, it is also necessary to understand the technical and scientific documentation of our industry, most of which is available in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of French is required for permanent positions in Quebec, to enable the incumbent to communicate as needed with colleagues, partners and suppliers in Quebec. French-language courses are offered to any incumbent of a permanent position in Quebec who does not have a good knowledge of French.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboration & Partnership: As a full-stack Senior Software Developer on the GoTo WebVoice team, you will be partnering with Product Owners, UX, and Agile team members to understand business needs and deliver high-impact product features
  • Full-Stack Development: Designing, building, and enhancing backend services within a microservice platform that supports a micro-frontend application, while contributing across the full stack as needed
  • Project Leadership: Leading technical projects through architecture, design discussions, cross-team coordination, and hands-on implementation of key features and shared platform capabilities
  • Development Excellence: Driving development excellence through clean, maintainable code, thoughtful API design, peer code reviews, and mentorship on best practices and AI-assisted development
  • Operational Reliability: Supporting operational reliability by contributing to CI/CD, infrastructure and observability practices, and assisting with incident response, troubleshooting, and production deployments
  • Leveraging AI/LLMs: Leveraging agentic coding and AI-assisted development tools. Using strong judgment and prompt/context management skills. Refining generated output to create production-quality solutions
