About The Position

Nexamp is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Developer to join their mission-driven team focused on accelerating the sustainable energy future. This role involves building and optimizing technology solutions to enhance the efficiency of raising and deploying capital for solar power plants. The developer will serve as the front-end lead within an engineering squad, contributing through high-quality code, project leadership from inception to completion, process refinement, and mentorship of junior developers. The position is hybrid, based in the Boston office, and reports to the squad's Tech Lead.

Requirements

7+ years of full stack software development experience at companies with 10 or more developers.
Experience architecting, building, and deploying consumer-facing frontend applications in React and Typescript.
Experience developing and optimizing web-based solutions in modern Python, ideally using Django, FastAPI, or similar frameworks.
Robust understanding of web standards, infrastructure (databases, storage, caching, content delivery, etc.), and cloud platform offerings.
Effective communication and collaboration with users and business stakeholders to facilitate software and process requirements.
Experience leveraging debugging expertise and a proven track record of independently solving problems.
Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git, CI/CD pipelines for automated testing & deployment, and infrastructure tools like Terraform.
Understanding of cutting-edge AI tools and a commitment to leveraging them to rapidly deliver high-quality software.
Ownership mentality and initiative to make improvements to code, processes, and user experiences across the organization.
Can-do attitude toward architecting right-sized solutions to real-world business problems.

Responsibilities

Internalize objectives and deliver measurable change for Nexamp and its customers.
Design, implement, and deploy reliable and efficient production software using a React/Django/Azure stack.
Actively collaborate in sprint planning, execution, code reviews, demos, and retrospectives.
Own design decisions for React applications and establish scalable patterns, standards, and best practices for the squad.
Guide and inspire more junior developers through mentorship and collaboration.
Continually seek ways to improve personal skills and increase impact within the company.
