About The Position

Nexamp is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Developer to join their mission-driven team focused on accelerating the sustainable energy future. The role involves building and optimizing tech solutions to improve the efficiency of capital deployment into solar power plants. The developer will serve as the front-end lead within an engineering squad, driving projects from conception to completion, refining processes, and mentoring junior team members. This is a hybrid role based in the Boston office, reporting to the squad's Tech Lead.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of full stack software development experience at companies with 10 or more developers.
  • Experience architecting, building, and deploying consumer-facing frontend applications in React and Typescript.
  • Experience developing and optimizing web-based solutions in modern Python, ideally using Django, FastAPI, or similar frameworks.
  • Robust understanding of web standards, infrastructure (databases, storage, caching, content delivery, etc.), and cloud platform offerings.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with users and business stakeholders, facilitating software and process requirements.
  • Experience leveraging debugging expertise and a proven track record of independently solving problems.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git, CI/CD pipelines for automated testing & deployment, and infrastructure tools like Terraform.
  • Understanding of cutting edge AI tools and a commitment to leveraging them to rapidly deliver high quality software.
  • Ownership mentality and initiative to make improvements to code, processes, and user experiences across the organization.
  • Can-do attitude toward architecting right-sized solutions to real-world business problems.

  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Internalize objectives and deliver measurable change for Nexamp and its customers.
  • Design, implement, and deploy reliable and efficient production software in a React/Django/Azure stack.
  • Actively collaborate in sprint planning, execution, code reviews, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Own design decisions across React applications and establish scalable patterns, standards, and best practices for the squad.
  • Guide and inspire more junior developers through mentorship and collaboration.
  • Continually seek ways to level-up personal skills and make a bigger impact.
