About The Position

ITC Federal, LLC is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, build, and deploy ServiceNow solutions for federal agency clients. The role owns complex solutions from requirements through rollout, including custom applications, Service Catalog items, Flow Designer automations, IntegrationHub integrations, and supporting server- and client-side scripting. The developer is expected to use sound judgment about when to rely on baseline platform functionality rather than custom code, preserving an upgradeable, clean, and maintainable instance. The Senior ServiceNow Developer establishes and enforces development standards, mentors developers, leads peer reviews, and represents technical solutions in client-facing design discussions. Work includes ITSM platform improvement, integrations, testing, release documentation, and ensuring solutions meet federal requirements such as Section 508 accessibility and FISMA/NIST security controls. This is a full-time, fully remote position within the U.S. Supporting the Department of State and other federal agency clients, the role requires availability during East Coast business hours. Occasional travel may be required for major planning events; relocation or office reporting is not expected. The candidate must be a U.S. citizen and hold at least an active Interim Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a final Secret clearance.

  • Experience building Service Catalog items, workflows or Flow Designer automations, and integrations using REST, SOAP, and IntegrationHub.
  • Demonstrated ownership of complex builds from requirements through rollout.
  • Track record of setting or enforcing team development standards and representing technical solutions in client-facing discussions.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and across technical and functional teams.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification.
  • At least one ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification.
  • Active Interim Secret security clearance at minimum, with ability to obtain and maintain a final Secret clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow configurations, custom applications, and automated workflows.
  • Write and maintain server-side and client-side JavaScript using Glide APIs, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, and ACLs.
  • Favor configuration over customization to keep the instance upgradeable and avoid long-term technical debt.
  • Build advanced Service Catalog items, including catalog client scripts, UI policies, variable sets, and record producers.
  • Design and build readable, maintainable Flow Designer automations.
  • Deliver Service Catalog request experiences that end users can adopt effectively.

  • Execute unit, integration, and regression testing, including Automated Test Framework coverage.
  • Maintain update sets, release documentation, and technical design records to support release traceability and reversibility.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and design gaps early in the development lifecycle.
  • Ensure solutions meet federal IT standards, including Section 508 accessibility and FISMA/NIST security controls.
  • Mentor developers and promote ServiceNow development best practices across the delivery team.
  • Set and enforce development standards; lead code reviews, peer reviews, release management support, and governance and compliance checks.
