•$108,400 - $227,500

About The Position

This position is with CACI’s Systems Integration Group. The Senior Security Systems Engineer develops, debugs, and maintains software applications while owning the systems and infrastructure those applications run on. The role includes installing and configuring RHEL 8, performing cybersecurity scans and hardening—including SELinux policy work—and building utility scripts and automated build processes. It also supports the Identity Management (IdM/FreeIPA) and PKI infrastructure underpinning the environment. The engineer uses Python and shell scripting to automate system builds, configuration management with Ansible, and operational tasks. The role also draws on networking, virtualization (ESXi and KVM), and hardware knowledge to diagnose and resolve system issues. The engineer interacts directly with the customer to capture defect reports and enhancement requests and turn them into a prioritized backlog for future releases. Periodic onsite travel is required for system integration, updates, and deployment support.
