Requirements

  • Master’s degree in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with biopharma or bioanalytical workflows involving oligonucleotides, oligonucleotide conjugates, peptides, peptide conjugates, monoclonal antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), mRNA, AAVs, biomarkers, small molecules, or other emerging therapeutic modalities.
  • Strong hands-on experience with liquid chromatography, LC-MS/MS, mass spectrometry, or related instrumentation, including method development, data interpretation, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience designing and interpreting experiments that assess method-performance attributes such as recovery, selectivity, sensitivity, reproducibility, matrix effects, purity, and robustness.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex R&D projects and communicate scientific results clearly.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, move, or carry laboratory materials or equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work safely in laboratory environments involving chemicals, biological materials, hazardous waste, analytical instruments, and required personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to travel occasionally or work necessary overtime based on project, customer, conference, or business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • PhD in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • Experience developing magnetic bead products or automation-ready sample preparation workflows across multiple formats, analyte classes, and biological matrices.
  • Experience applying mass spectrometry to biopharma or bioanalytical applications.
  • An established scientific network and customer-facing experience translating emerging biopharma or bioanalysis needs into product opportunities.
  • A strong record of scientific publication and communication through peer-reviewed papers, conference presentations or posters, technical reports, or related scientific materials.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and commercialize sample preparation consumables, chromatography products, LC-MS/MS methods, and magnetic bead workflows for biopharma, clinical, and broader applied-market needs.
  • Identify sample preparation and LC-MS/MS workflow challenges and translate customer, market, and business needs into R&D opportunities and solutions.
  • Design, optimize, and validate methods and workflows across analytes, complex molecules, biological matrices, and therapeutic modalities, emphasizing recovery, matrix-effect reduction, reproducibility, and LC-MS/MS compatibility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute projects, transfer technology, resolve technical issues, and deliver new products on time.
  • Review literature, conduct experiments, analyze and present data, prepare technical materials, publish findings, and support patent filings.
  • Manage multiple complex R&D projects and communicate scientific results through reports, presentations, publications, application notes, conference materials, or customer-facing content.
