About The Position

The Neuroscience TRC is committed to the development of transformational therapeutics for patients with neurodegenerative, neuromuscular and neuropsychiatric diseases. A network of internal and external partnerships across neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric diseases and treatment modalities (small molecules, biologics and genetic medicines) supports our ambition to become leaders in neuroscience. Internal research focuses on causal human biology, matching therapeutic modality to molecular mechanism, and translational discovery enabling a rapid path to clinical proof-of-concept. In the role as a Senior Scientist within In Vivo Pharmacology, the ideal candidate performs and directs in vivo pharmacology studies in mice, inclusive of in-life dosing (IV, SC, IP, PO, ICV), tissue collection, and tissue processing. They will perform and analyze pharmacodynamic (PD) and efficacy readouts, including mRNA/protein expression levels, neuropathology, transcriptomics, and physiology. The candidate will develop new assays and mouse models as needed, manage in vivo studies conducted at contract research organizations (CROs), and serve as an in vivo pharmacology representative or biology lead on program and platform teams, contributing to program strategy. They will also participate in the evaluations of external assets and technologies as needed.
