About The Position

This role involves supporting SAP IS-U applications through various stages including go-live, hypercare, system stabilization, maintenance, and ongoing production support. The engineer will develop, enhance, and maintain custom SAP ABAP code and RICEFW objects, contribute to system enhancements and operational efficiencies, and work proactively with minimal supervision. The position requires applying knowledge of industry standards like ITIL, TOGAF, and PMP concepts, and staying proficient in emerging technologies. Collaboration with architects, development teams, and functional teams is crucial for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. The role also includes evaluating, developing, implementing, optimizing, and configuring customer cloud environments, supporting the customer-facing web interface, and building automation for cloud lifecycle management. Additionally, the engineer will participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support, and support SAP integrations with external systems. Experience with SAP BTP and UI5 applications is required, along with troubleshooting production issues and managing technical tickets in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree is required.
Minimum 10 years of SAP ABAP development experience and/or Security experience.
At least 5 years of hands-on SAP IS-U development experience, preferably supporting utility industry customer information systems (CIS).
Candidate must be eligible to work in the US.
Must be able to successfully pass our background screening process.
Ability to quickly learn emerging technologies and develop proficiency through self-study and on-the-job training.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including customer-facing communication.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple critical priorities.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to work independently under limited supervision and with urgency.
Strong SAP BTP UI5 development capability.
Hands-on experience with SAP BTP functionality.
Strong understanding of RICEFW concepts.
Major Market Billing experience.
Print work bench experience.

Nice To Haves

Experience with SAP Integration Suite and SAP C4C V2 is preferred.

Responsibilities

Support SAP IS-U applications throughout go-live, hypercare, system stabilization, maintenance and ongoing production support.
Develop, enhance and maintain custom SAP ABAP code and RICEFW objects, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms and workflows.
Contribute to ongoing system enhancements, technical improvements and operational efficiencies.
Work proactively with minimal supervision while managing multiple critical priorities.
Apply knowledge of industry standards and standards organizations, including ITIL, TOGAF and PMP concepts, as applicable.
Maintain proficiency in emerging technologies through self-study and on-the-job training.
Work directly with architects to reproduce, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Provide routine communication to customers regarding incident progress, status and root cause.
Escalate issues and defects as necessary and work directly with development, network and engineering escalation teams until incidents are fully resolved.
Evaluate, develop, implement, optimize and configure customer cloud environments.
Support the web interface used by customers to access their cloud environment.
Build, configure, tune and implement automation that supports cloud lifecycle management and operational improvement.
Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment and production support activities.
Support SAP integrations with external systems as needed.
Collaborate with functional, integration, Basis, security and project teams to resolve technical issues.
Troubleshoot production issues and drive defects through resolution against established targets.
Manage and prioritize technical tickets in a fast-paced production support environment.
Develop and support SAP BTP and UI5 applications.
