About The Position

The Maryland Insurance Administration (MIA) is seeking a meticulous and technically savvy Senior Salesforce Quality Analyst to oversee the quality assurance of our enterprise ecosystem. This position will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and data integrity of our Salesforce platform and its critical integrations driven by MuleSoft. The Senior Salesforce Quality Analyst will sit at the intersection of CRM functionality and API middleware, designing robust test strategies that validate end-to-end business processes. The ideal candidate has several years of hands-on experience in Salesforce testing, and validating MuleSoft APIs, and a passion for automation.

Requirements

  • Seven years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application, communication, database or operating systems software.
  • Candidates may substitute graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate and thirty credit hours from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Management Information Systems or other information technology-related field to include coursework in application, communication, database or operating systems software technology for four years of the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate and one year of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application, communication, database or operating systems software for four years of the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute experience operating computer systems; or scheduling, controlling input and output to process data on computer systems; or evaluating, implementing and maintaining computer hardware and software; or converting data from project specifications by developing program code using generally accepted computer programming languages on a year-for-year basis for a high school education.
  • Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Management Information Systems or other information technology-related field to include coursework in application, communication, database or operating systems software technology and three years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application, communication, database or operating systems software for the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in the Computer Systems Operations classifications or Computer Systems Operations specialty codes in the Information Technology field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

Responsibilities

  • Define, design, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases that cover Salesforce functionality, user interfaces, custom workflows (Flows), and backend MuleSoft API integrations.
  • Validate REST/SOAP APIs, data mappings, and transformations routed through MuleSoft. Perform payload validation, error-handling checks, and boundary testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or Anypoint Studio.
  • Build and maintain manual as well as automated testing suites for both Salesforce and integration endpoints to ensure continuous deployment stability.
  • Verify complex data migrations, synchronization logic, and data integrity between Salesforce and downstream/upstream systems connected via MuleSoft.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution. Collaborate closely with Salesforce Developers, MuleSoft Engineers, and Business Analysts to isolate bugs and reproduce edge cases.
  • Participate actively in sprint planning, refinement, and daily stand-ups to ensure QA scope is aligned with upcoming user stories and technical design documents.
