About The Position

aFit Staffing is seeking a Senior Salesforce Platform Owner & Developer for an exciting contract-to-hire opportunity in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is ideal for an experienced Salesforce professional who combines deep technical expertise with platform ownership and strategic leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in an ongoing business transformation initiative, helping modernize and expand the organization's Salesforce ecosystem while partnering closely with business and technical stakeholders. This position is responsible for both the administration and development of a mature Salesforce environment supporting critical business operations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable owning platform strategy, designing scalable solutions, and delivering hands-on development using modern Salesforce technologies. You will work within a collaborative team environment that values accountability, initiative, and problem-solving. Responsibilities

Serve as the primary owner of the Salesforce platform.
Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
Establish and maintain platform governance, security, and best practices.
Drive platform optimization, modernization, and adoption initiatives.
Design and develop custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flow.
Build scalable integrations with enterprise applications and third-party platforms.
Develop and maintain automation, data models, security frameworks, and custom applications.
Support application performance tuning and ongoing enhancements.
Evaluate and implement modern Salesforce capabilities including Agentforce and Einstein AI.
Support enterprise transformation initiatives across multiple business functions.
Recommend and implement technical improvements that drive operational efficiency.
Act as a trusted Salesforce advisor for technical and business stakeholders.
Support Salesforce deployment processes and release management activities.
Partner with development teams to establish CI/CD best practices.
Contribute to platform stability, quality assurance, and continuous improvement efforts.
