Senior Salesforce Developer (onsite)

Arrow International, Inc.•Brooklyn, OH
•Onsite

About The Position

Arrow International is seeking a senior Salesforce developer to lead development and contribute to the architecture and growth of its Salesforce platform. The role helps shape how Salesforce is built, how its data is structured, how it connects with other systems, and how the business benefits from the platform. The developer will work alongside Salesforce Administrators and Developers to identify and implement Salesforce capabilities that Arrow already owns but underuses. The position partners with the Director of IT on the Salesforce roadmap and technical decisions; maintains platform health, release management, sandboxes, performance, technical debt, and security; and works with Finance, Operations, Sales/Marketing, and Communications to translate business needs into solutions. It designs and builds custom functionality and integrations, establishes data and development standards, supports governance and deployment practices, documents the platform, identifies valuable underused capabilities, and mentors the Salesforce team.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of hands-on Salesforce experience, including 2 years in a developer role.
  • Strong experience with Apex, SOQL/SOSL, Lightning Web Components, and Flow.
  • Proven experience designing and building integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, or ETL tools.
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce data modeling, security architecture, and data migration.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience with deployment tooling and source control, such as Salesforce DX, Git, and a CI/CD pipeline.
  • Track record of defining and enforcing development standards, code review, and governance.
  • Ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and gain their buy-in.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification; Platform Developer II or an architect certification is a plus.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with SAP (S/4HANA), Snowflake, or AS400/legacy systems.
  • Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Data Cloud.
  • Experience supporting a platform through an ERP migration.
  • Hands-on experience with Agentforce and other Salesforce AI capabilities, such as Einstein and generative AI features.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools that consume Salesforce data.
  • Background in a regulated industry such as gaming, finance, or nonprofit fundraising.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Director of IT to shape the Salesforce roadmap and make technical decisions.
  • Maintain Salesforce org health, including release management, sandbox strategy, technical debt, performance, and the security model.
  • Review configuration and code changes made by Administrators, Developers, and other team members.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Sales/Marketing, and Communications to translate business needs into platform solutions.
  • Design and build custom solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, and APIs.
  • Design, build, and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other systems, including SAP S/4HANA, Snowflake, and proprietary Arrow applications.
  • Evaluate build-versus-configure-versus-buy decisions and recommend an appropriate approach.
  • Support new and updated integrations with Salesforce.
  • Define and maintain the data model, object relationships, and field standards.
  • Set data quality, governance, deduplication, and migration practices.
  • Ensure Salesforce data flows reliably to and from reporting and enterprise systems.
  • Work with BI and data engineering teams to ensure Salesforce data is trustworthy for analytics.
  • Contribute to development, naming, documentation, testing, and deployment standards, and help the team follow them.
  • Maintain Salesforce change control, including source control and CI/CD where appropriate.
  • Maintain a clear separation of duties for security, permissions, and production changes.
  • Document platform architecture, integrations, automations, and decisions.
  • Audit current Salesforce feature usage and licensing against capabilities Arrow already owns.
  • Identify, prioritize, and implement Salesforce capabilities that the business is not yet using.
  • Build business cases for capabilities, deliver them, train users, and measure adoption.
  • Stay current on Salesforce releases and recommend worthwhile capabilities to adopt.
  • Mentor Salesforce Administrators and Developers as they develop their skills in development, architecture, and platform strategy.
  • Share knowledge to avoid concentrating platform expertise in one person.
  • Partner with other IT resources to build a broader group of people able to contribute to the platform.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
