About The Position

The Salesforce Developer performs hands-on technical development and implementation of functional solutions on the Salesforce platform. The role covers the full development life cycle, from technical design and requirements gathering through development, testing, documentation, and deployment. Working with senior-level systems and software engineers, architects, Technical/Solutions Architects, and Business Analysts, the developer translates business needs into secure, well-architected solutions that follow Salesforce platform best practices.

The position involves developing, testing, documenting, and maintaining Salesforce solutions, integrations, and data-migration elements using declarative and programmatic tools. Developers execute test plans and unit tests, follow coding standards and design patterns, and participate in code reviews. They may also support the Program Management Office and/or users with requests, questions, and concerns. Work takes place in an agile environment, and the posting notes that the majority of tasks are accomplished remotely. An understanding of Department of Defense and government security standards and policies is needed to help ensure deployed changes are secure and available.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of Salesforce development experience.
• Experience with Apex, Visualforce, triggers, batch Apex, Salesforce APIs, workflows, validation rules, roles and profiles, reports, and dashboards.
• Knowledge of the Salesforce Lightning Design System and experience working with Lightning Web Components.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications using SOAP, REST, and Bulk APIs.
• Hands-on experience with either Health Cloud or Salesforce Public Sector Foundations, including OmniStudio tools such as OmniScript, DataRaptor, and FlexCards.
• Understanding of Department of Defense and government security standards and policies.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Lean Startup, or XP, and with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and solution-ownership skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with leadership and key stakeholders, articulate design and configuration choices, and build consensus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, clear verbal communication, and commitment to continuous learning.
• Strong work ethic, ethical conduct, and ability to collaborate effectively in teams.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to complete the government's background investigation.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology or another related technical discipline.

Responsibilities
