Senior Salesforce Developer

Perry Homes•Houston, TX

About The Position

The Senior Salesforce Developer builds and improves Perry Homes’ Salesforce platform, with Sales Cloud as the primary focus and Service Cloud work as needed. The role centers on the lead-to-opportunity journey connecting homebuyers with sales teams. The developer delivers Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Flows, favors existing Salesforce capabilities and configuration before custom code, and collaborates with integration teams on connections to SalesHub and Azure/.NET middleware. This position helps build Perry Homes’ in-house Salesforce capability. Initial priorities include improving Sales Cloud lead conversion, duplicate management, and data quality; establishing source control and CI/CD practices; improving test coverage and monitoring; and supporting the transfer of codebase ownership to the internal team. The software serves Perry Homes’ sales teams and homebuyers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Solid Apex skills, including asynchronous processing and test classes with meaningful assertions rather than coverage-only tests.
  • Hands-on experience with Lightning Web Components and Flows, including Screen Flows.
  • Strong hands-on Sales Cloud experience, including lead management and conversion, duplicate and matching rules, assignment rules, and opportunity management.
  • Working knowledge of the Salesforce security and sharing model, Salesforce REST and Bulk APIs, OAuth/Connected Apps, and platform events.

  • Maintain and improve the security model, including permission sets and least-privilege access, with architect review.
  • Collaborate with integration teams on the Salesforce side of connections to SalesHub and Azure/.NET middleware.
  • Build logging, error handling, monitoring, and alerting for critical Salesforce automations and integrations.
