About The Position

Corporate Learning Network (CLN), a division of IQPC, is seeking a Senior Sales Development Representative to sell sponsorship opportunities for premium B2B events to senior executives and decision-makers in the Learning & Development, HR, and Talent Strategy industries. This role is designed to accelerate your career, with a goal of developing you into an Account Executive on an accelerated timeline. You will receive hands-on sales training, work directly with experienced sales leaders, build your own pipeline, and develop the skills needed to manage the full sponsorship sales cycle. This is an opportunity for a proven SDR, BDR, or early-career B2B salesperson who is eager to close bigger deals and take on more responsibility.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional sales, SDR, BDR, recruiting, event sales, SaaS, media, or other B2B sales experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales KPIs.
  • Strong outbound prospecting and cold-calling skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable speaking with senior executives.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • B2B sales, sponsorship, conference, SaaS, media, or recruitment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a high-quality B2B sales pipeline.
  • Prospect and engage senior-level executives.
  • Conduct consultative discovery conversations.
  • Identify and qualify sponsorship opportunities.
  • Develop compelling sales messaging and presentations.
  • Understand client objectives and connect them to CLN's events.
  • Negotiate and close increasingly complex opportunities.
  • Manage relationships throughout the sales cycle.
  • Develop your own book of business.
  • Prospect Fortune 2000 companies and identify potential sponsorship opportunities.
  • Conduct high-volume, high-quality outbound calling, email, LinkedIn, and social selling.
  • Build relationships with senior executives across Learning & Development, HR, Talent, and related functions.
  • Research companies, executives, industries, and market trends to identify new opportunities.
  • Qualify prospects and uncover business needs, challenges, and objectives.
  • Schedule and conduct discovery conversations with prospective sponsors.
  • Generate qualified sponsorship opportunities and contribute directly to revenue growth.
  • Maintain an accurate and active pipeline using HubSpot and other sales technology.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives, Marketing, Conference Production, and Operations.
  • Develop a strong understanding of CLN's events, audience, content, and sponsorship offerings.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue KPIs.
  • Take increasing ownership of the sales process as you demonstrate success.
  • Travel domestically to select CLN events and industry conferences as needed.
