As a Senior Sales Development Representative you’ll be at the forefront of building Shape’s pipeline - not just executing outreach, but helping define how we do it. You’ll take ownership of generating high-quality opportunities, refining messaging, and influencing how we scale our go-to-market approach. Over time, there is scope to grow into a broader, more strategic role as the function evolves. You'll be part of our Growth team, working closely with sales, marketing, and product experts. Together, we tell Shape's story to the world and build connections with those who haven't yet experienced how game-changing our platform is.

Requirements

  • Experience in B2B sales, ideally in SaaS or construction tech. You understand how to engage decision-makers and guide them through a sales process.
  • A confident and engaging communicator. You know how to make complex ideas simple and compelling. You're comfortable talking to both hands-on construction teams and senior business leaders, and you build relationships through a humanistic, empathetic approach - because our customers aren't just numbers!
  • You take ownership. You’re unafraid of rejection, don’t take “no” as the end of the conversation, and you enjoy experimenting with new ways to connect and add value.
  • You can read between the lines, spot opportunities, and adapt your approach based on what's working. You don't just book meetings - you open doors.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with full-cycle/360 sales exposure.
  • A master in the art of influencing and persuasion with an extensive network in the construction and/or tech start-up industries.
  • Early leadership or people management exposure - experience coaching or mentoring others.
  • Beyond just hitting targets, you'll play a key role in shaping how construction teams adopt technology. The relationships you build and the insights you gather will help refine our approach and drive real change in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and reach out to construction teams, introducing them to Shape and setting up intro calls that help them understand how our product can transform their project delivery performance. You must be very comfortable and confident doing cold calls - indeed you must love it!
  • Using data and insights, continuously improve our approach, experimenting with messaging, channels, and engagement tactics to maximize impact.
  • Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align efforts, share feedback, and ensure we're reaching the right people in the right way.
  • Sharpen your sales skills, share best practices, and contribute to building a world-class growth function.
  • Bring your experience building outreach processes and systems to help us refine our SDR engine as we expand our consulting service lines and client base.
