About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a Senior Sales Associate to create welcoming customer experiences, help customers find instruments and equipment, and support the store’s sales and operations. The role combines customer service, sales, product expertise, relationship building, merchandising, and peer leadership in a music-focused retail environment. As a keyholding team member, the associate may open and close the store as needed. The position requires flexibility to work additional hours, nights, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment and help customers explore their musical interests and select suitable gear.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets, including through appropriate upselling and cross-selling of instruments and accessories.
• Maintain strong knowledge of products, including guitars and recording equipment, and help improve other associates’ product knowledge.
• Build customer relationships and help fellow associates foster relationships with customers and the local music community.
• Organize displays, restock shelves, and maintain the store.
• Guide and mentor team members, supporting them during customer interactions and operational tasks.
• Open and close the store as needed as a keyholding team member.
