If so, we invite you to join our team as a Senior Residential Home Manager. The Senior Residential Home Manager oversees the daily operations with expanded scope and operational complexity, including enhanced responsibility for staffing, regulatory compliance, and quality outcomes. This role includes administrative management, direct supervision of employees, and engagement with residents to ensure a supportive, person-centered environment. The position requires strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to balance operational needs with high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent required
  • Valid Alabama driver's license and must be insurable through the agency’s insurance carrier
  • Must be cleared through the Dept. of Human Resources Child Abuse & Neglect Registry as well as the ABI/FBI and pass all required pre-employment and background screening
  • Must be certified or certifiable in CPR, 1st Aid, Managing Crisis Safety (MCS), and Medication Administration (MAC) within 30 days of employment
  • 21 years of age or older
  • 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role, in a residential facility in healthcare, human services, or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold organizational values, ethical standards and a respectful, professional environment for individuals served, their families, visitors, and staff.
  • Ensure the program operates in compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and agency standards.
  • Oversee individualized care, such as health coordination, safety practices, and positive behavioral supports.
  • Maintain accurate and timely administrative and program documentation.
  • Manage program resources, including budgets, staffing allocations, scheduling, and basic financial oversight.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and retain staff members, promoting growth and high-quality care
  • Manage staff schedules to ensure coverage, continuity of care, and compliance with labor requirements.
  • Coach, evaluate, and hold DSPs accountable for performance, competency, and quality of care.
  • Maintain physical and environmental safety of the homes, including supplies, groceries, and work orders.
  • Communicate and collaborate with families and interdisciplinary treatment team members.
  • Provide on-call coverage and respond to emergent issues.
  • Maintain required certifications and participate in professional development and special assignments.
