The Loudoun County Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services is seeking a dynamic, talented leader to join our Residential Services as Senior Manager. Requirements

• Masters degree in Psychology, Business, Public Administration or other department-related area
• four (4) years of directly related, progressively responsible work experience
• three (3) years in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a government setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a good driving record and a valid driver's license in Virginia or regional state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and oversight of program operations, staff, and resources to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
• Leads staff and promotes a culture that values employees and engenders the trust and confidence of the Board of Supervisors, departmental leadership, staff, volunteers, and the public.
• Establishes goals and monitors productivity.
• Advises on policy and procedural issues.
• Allocates resources and completes projects.
• Assists with planning the short-term and long-term strategic direction of the Department.
• Provides leadership to ensure Department's goals and objectives are achieved.
• Conducts research on issues affecting Residential Services and reviews pending legislation that may impact operations.
• Provides professional advice and counsel to coworkers and shares knowledge and information based on areas of technical expertise.
